A stay in an intimate spa is the perfect attraction for Valentine’s Day in Zakopane

The Slovak Tatras are divided into the Belian, High and Western Tatras. Unlike the Polish side, they are more desolate and wild. If you are planning to go to our southern neighbors in the Tatras, remember two fundamental rules. First, in case of an accident, the rescue operation carried by the HZS (Horská záchranná služba) is paid for. This is why it is so important that you carry proof of insurance.

The second important point – the Slovaks close the trails during winter and spring. From November 1 to June 15, for safety reasons, as well as to respect the local nature, most of the trails above the shelters are closed (however, during this time you can enjoy other attractions, of which Slovakia has many in store). To make it easier for you to organize your trip, we have selected some easy trails in the Slovak Tatras that we guarantee, you will fall in love with.

Easy trails in the Slovak Tatras worth visiting

Poprad Pond (Popradské Pleso)

Poprad Pond is such a Slovakian equivalent of our Morskie Oko. An undemanding paved road leads to both places, there is a hostel at each, and both are fabulously beautiful as they are surrounded by majestic peaks. Poprad Pond will begin to be less besieged by tourists, it is much quieter along the route. This is a great advantage of this place. The trail is also open to cyclists.

Štrbské Pleso (Štrbské Lake)

This is the second largest lake on the Slovak side of the Tatra Mountains. There is a gravel and asphalt path around the lake, where you can walk and enjoy the beautiful panorama of the Tatra peaks. It’s a place that also attracts in winter, as it offers skiing and cross-country skiing trails.

Cold Water Falls

Thanks to the cable car that ascends to Hrebienok, the route to the Cold Waterfalls is not difficult, even in winter conditions. Beautiful views and the opportunity to reach four waterfalls guarantee an unforgettable experience.

Relaxation at Beernarium Beer Spa

A visit to the Spa will perfectly relax the body and mind after a day on the trail. Beernarium Beer Spa is located in the basement of a historic building on Krupówki Street and offers nourishing and relaxing treatments accompanied by tasting of delicious beverages.
